Privacy Policy — Simon's Bacteria

This Privacy Policy describes how the Simon's Bacteria app ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it on iOS or macOS.

Summary

Simon's Bacteria does not run its own servers, does not collect analytics, does not show ads, and does not use third-party tracking SDKs. The only data the App touches is:

• Gameplay data stored locally on your device.
• Data you choose to share with Apple's Game Center, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
• Purchase data for optional in-app tips, processed entirely by Apple's App Store / StoreKit.

Information Stored Locally On Your Device

Game settings and statistics (stone style, animation mode, AI difficulty, win/loss counters, win streaks) are stored using UserDefaults on your device only. They are never transmitted anywhere by the App.

Saved game state (board position, current turn) is stored locally so you can resume a game. It never leaves your device.

None of this data identifies you personally, and none of it is sent to us — we do not operate any backend that could receive it.

Game Center

If you choose to sign in to Game Center, the App uses Apple's GameKit framework to:

• Authenticate you as a Game Center player.
• Submit leaderboard scores (total wins, games played).
• Report achievement progress (first win, win streak, flawless victory).

This interaction is handled entirely by Apple's GameKit framework and Apple's Game Center service. We do not receive, store, or have access to your Game Center account, Apple ID, or any data Apple collects on its servers. Signing in to Game Center is optional — the App is fully playable without it. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles Game Center data.

In-App Purchases ("Tips")

The App offers optional, non-essential tip purchases to support development. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We never see, collect, or store your payment information (card numbers, billing address, Apple ID, etc.) — that data is processed exclusively by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not collect analytics or usage statistics on any server.
• We do not show third-party advertisements.
• We do not use tracking identifiers (IDFA) or any cross-app/cross-site tracking.
• We do not require account creation.
• We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data.
• We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any data to share.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Since the App stores data only locally on-device and uses no analytics or tracking, no personal information is collected from users of any age.

Changes To This Policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised and the new version will be published at the same URL. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
